Music Initiatives

Having launched this year, St John’s Young Voices sing one song a month, through our Praise & Worship Services. With simple, fun and effective repertoire and short rehearsals after each service, Young Voices is the perfect way for children of any age to learn to use their voices, have fun and make new friends.

For musicians who want a platform for their music, we offer slots at our monthly ‘Jam at St John’s’ sessions. Whether you’re a keen hobbyist who wants to share your love of playing, or a young musician looking to get over those ‘concert nerves’ by getting more performance experience, Jam at St John’s let’s you play in the informal setting of our Open Church and Book Sale, and gives people in the local community a chance to discover the wealth of talent hidden in Palmers Green. Our Director of Music, Robert, will be very happy to give you professional piano accompaniment if you’re a vocalist or solo instrumentalist, and performers are welcome to sell CDs and merchandise. To book a slot or find out more, please contact Robert at

In late Spring and throughout Summer, St John’s hosts a series of concerts given by professional musicians from around London. From string quartets to choirs to organists, our concerts range from ticketed evening events to free admission jazz in the church gardens.
